The Diversity Network assists universities, community colleges and other organizations in increasing global education opportunities for underrepresented students.
The Diversity Network was not created just for international education offices, but rather to facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and institutional support for global education. It is comprised of professionals from various departments and offices, all of whom are stakeholders in student academic success, and whom play a role in properly advising, recruiting and preparing diverse students for international opportunities.
Any administrator, faculty or staff member from a Diversity Network member institution can participate in the Diversity Network. For this reason, we recommend that institutions divide the cost of annual membership among applicable departments.
Recommended departments and offices to share membership cost are:
§ International Education/ Study Abroad Office
§ Admissions
§ Career Services/Human Resources
§ Office of Diversity, Equity, and/or Cultural Affairs
§ Student Services
§ Financial Aid/Fellowship Offices
§ Academic Departments (foreign language, international studies, etc.)
