With more than 200 participants in attendance, the Diversity Abroad Conference attracted professionals from education abroad, diversity and inclusion, and other areas of higher education!
The Diversity Abroad Annual Conference represents the largest meeting of higher education professionals focused solely on access, inclusion, and diversity in international education. According to Diversity Abroad's President and Founder, Andrew Gordon, "The Diversity Abroad conference is a unique meeting that brings together international and diversity higher education professionals to collaboratively tackle the barriers to international programs that diverse students face."
The Conference is not only an opportunity to discuss topics related to the intersection of diversity, inclusion, and international education, it also provides a space for professionals interested in these topics to connect with other likeminded individuals, engage in meaningful dialogue, and exchange good practices in recruiting, serving, and supporting diverse and underrepresented students. As a testement to the importance of this work, the Diversity Abroad Conference was highlighted in Diverse Issues.
Diversity Abroad invites you to save the dates for next year's conference in New Orleans, LA, which is scheduled to take place from March 22-24, 2015. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for next year's conference, please note that the call for proposals will open in late-May.
