Andrew Gordon
Founder & President
Andrew Gordon is the founder and president of Diversity Abroad. He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, where he studied business, economics and Spanish. He has studied, traveled and worked throughout Europe, South America and Middle East. He started Diversity Abroad in 2006 with the focus of significantly increasing the number of non-traditional students who pursue international education opportunities.
He is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators (www.nafsa.org), where he serves on the committee for under-representation. Additionally he is a member of the international professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, the National Association of Black Accountants (www.nabainc.org), and Net Impact (www.netimpact.org). He is an alumnus of INROADS (www.inroads.org) and AIESEC (www.aiesec.org).
Prior to starting Diversity Abroad, Andrew worked as an associate at Deloitte and Touche in San Francisco, California. He also worked for Equifax as a analyst in Madrid, Spain
Monty McGee
Manager, Diversity in Global Education Network
Monty McGee the manager of the Diversity in Global Education Network. Additionally he oversees the Go Global Campus Tour.
He is an honors graduate of Norfolk State University where he studied political science and international relations. During his undergraduate studies he spent a year in Beijing and Kunming, China. While in China he engaged in an independent research project focusing on the effects of hydroelectricity in modern China.
Monty has worked with the Congressional Research Service in the Foreign Defense and Trade Division as well as with the China Environment Forum through the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. He previously sat on the student advisory committee for the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). He is an Institute for International Public Policy fellow and a Benjamin A. Gilman scholar.
