Who We Are
Diversity Abroad is a leading global education organization dedicated to increasing international mobility among students and young professionals. With an emphasis on diverse and emerging populations, Diversity Abroad specializes in promoting international study, exchange and career opportunities to students and young professionals in the United States and throughout the world.
In addition to direct engagement of students and young professionals, through the Diversity in Global Education Network, Diversity Abroad advises and assist higher education institutions and international education organizations in the following three ways: Increasing global mobility among domestic student, Advising international institutions on diverse and emerging student populations and Serving the needs in incoming international students.

To ensure that students from diverse economic, national, educational, social, and ethnic backgrounds are aware of, have equal access to, and take advantage of global education and career opportunities.
Our History
Diversity Abroad was founded in 2006 on a simple vision: to have the diversity seen on U.S. campuses to be reflected in the demographics of education-abroad participants.
In May of 2006, Diversity Abroad launched the comprehensive global study and exchange resource center, DiversityAbroad.com. In the fall of 2007, Diversity Abroad started the Go Global Campus Tour. This took the organization to dozens of U.S. campuses, many of them Minority Serving Institutions and community colleges, to promote international education.
In the spring of 2010, Diversity Abroad launched the Diversity in Global Education Network (Diversity Network). The Diversity Network is the leading professional network dedicated to equity in global education. With the debut of the Diversity Network, Diversity Abroad began to address not only issues pertaining to U.S. students going abroad, but also international students coming to the United States.
