Diversity Abroad’s Inclusive Excellence in Global Education On-Demand Short Course Series are accessible e-learning opportunities designed and facilitated by experts in the fields of diversity, inclusion, and international education to provide professionals and faculty with insight and practical tools to support and advance inclusive excellence in global education.

Why are the Faculty and Professional Short Courses Important?

The numbers of diverse and underrepresented students interested and participating in international opportunities are increasing.  While this trend is encouraging, a lot of work still needs to be done, especially around advising and supporting this important group of young people.

Format

  • Faculty courses are between 45 and 75 minutes and contain detailed information specific for faculty involved in leading, creating and/or developing programs in International Education.
  • Professional courses are roughly 30-minutes and provide more general information to support busy professionals in attaining inclusive excellence in global education.
  • Both types of courses include a presentation, a downloadable PDF, and reflection questions/tips.

How can I access the courses?
Learners can access the courses by selecting a course in the library.  Once a course has been selected, the learner can click the “Buy” button on the course landing page to set up an account and purchase the course.  


What information do I need to set up an account?

Learners only need their full name and email address.  A password is then created to finalize the activation and to track learning progress. Accounts are set up after clicking the “Buy” button on a course landing page or by contacting Diversity Abroad to set up a subscription.


How can I pay for a course?
Learners can purchase a course directly with a credit card after setting up an account online.  Courses can be purchased individually, as a bundle or in bulk.  If your organization or institution is interested in a subscription or purchasing in bulk, please contact our Partnership Development Manager, Christopher LeGrant at clegrant@diversityabroad.org and he will be in touch with the details.  If you work for a Diversity Abroad member institution or organization and are interested in a Faculty Development course, please contact members@diversityabroad.org for a code that will allow access to the course for the member cost of $59.99.

How long do I have access to each course?

Courses purchased directly online are available for 7 days after payment.  When purchasing in bulk, courses can be made available for a pre-selected week-long period, giving administrators the ability to stager courses over time.  Subscriptions allow for unlimited access to the courses for the duration of the subscription.


How are the courses intended to be viewed?

The On Demand Short Courses were created with individual learners in mind.  They can be completed in one viewing or in multiple sessions with the ability to save progress.  All courses are adaptable and work equally well on both desktop and mobile devices, giving learners a great deal of flexibility on when and how they view a course.
